This print was created during the autumn of 2018. I love this print because it reminds me of autumn.

Autumn provides nature with the opportunity to express and to share whatever else it has in store – for the last time before winter sets in.

So, as autumn lets go of summer, it displays even more of its beauty through colours. If we are observant, we would notice that the colours displayed are mainly of the lower chakras and the fact that it displays these colours, and then sheds them – I think is even more symbolic.

Nevertheless, the little girl on this painting is walking into autumn with her hat and her cloak and her lingering summery smile. Yet, autumn has arrived. Regardless, she is enjoying herself. She is still holding on to summer in her thoughts.

In a way, this painting can serve as a reminder to always carry our summers (the joys of our life), in our heart – as they will keep our souls warm, during the challenging times of life.
