+ Free ShippingThis is painting was created during the Winter of 2018. It is of a young girl slowly emerging from behind a veil – the veil of winter.
This young girl symbolises our unconscious nature or put another way, our innocence. We are asleep during the winter of our life – just as, nature is asleep – except for the ever greens.
It is only as we emerge into the spring of our life, that we begin the journey into consciousness. This young girl is beginning her journey too. She does not know what to expect but steps forward regardless.
You may want to get it for someone who is on a new journey in life. Someone who is leaving home, or graduating, or moving on to newer pastures of one form or another. In so doing, wishing them well and hoping that they uncover and yield the goodness of that new phase of their lives.
It could also be given to someone innocent of the world – a young girl for example. Or it may be given to symbolise the birth of a baby girl.
Nevertheless, I love this painting. It is unique both in its colouring and expression. I hope you love it too.
